Shadmalzuglar

Shadmalzuglar (Confusedship) is a dwarf fortress originally built by Zesbëmbul of  Adilatír in Mösmloera in 63.

It became a thriving fort, boasting a market, two tavern & inns, 3 temples, 4 tombs and 2 catacombes, as well as 4-way underground connection to Erithlolor, Atîskashez and Ilrallenod.

On Opal 8, 101 however it was conquered by Shoveth Nåzomgenlath Sar-led  Malladang, which kept it as capital, installing the new government Mato Obu.

The fortress strangely became a melting ground of the expected goblin internicidal violence, but also of culture, housing both humans and dwarves. The undead-sieged dwarves mounted a respectable attack for those times of 1150 and, although suffering small losses in terms of around 100, failed to route the mere 166 defenders, only slaying 50 of them. This would be the last time Adilatír would test its walls for centuries, being understandably busy in Möziralnis and then with rebuilding after its cooling.

Strangely, the independent human group Cudal Pumik would be the first to test its walls in 700 in several battles, as well as Candoosda of Sastpesor.

It was the highly militaristic and anti-goblin dwarven group Kogan Ngilok‏‎ that put the final nail in the civilization's coffin and took back Shadmalzuglar after over half a millennium of loss, forcing Mato Obu to surrender on Granite 3, 785 in The Siege of Shocks.
