Sodelthabost (Shieldflares) is a dwarf fortress founded by Medtob Amnek for 
Adilatír in 144 between Mösmloera and Covema Mothida. It did not last the year on the background of the Great War, as on Sandstone 22 the same year it was conquered by Mishthemdeduk. Though possibly abandoned by the undead, it was not completely deserted, as the forgotten beast Bosa Stosbûbatan was slayed by an unnamed dwarf in 160. In 161, two groups of Nusmzolak began improvements to the site without actually claiming it. On Slate 22, 209 the Mishthemdeduk aligned dwarf ♂ Ducim Delerstizash was slayed by the giant ♂ Ostath Tislamkìrar, which brings questions on why the goblins were allowed to work unimpeded. The last entry of that time was the incursion of the forgotten beast Elethaomo Mithe on Galena 1, 257.
With the renaissance starting in 700 and Adilatír's resurgence, Akestuvash reclaimed it on Hematite 26, 702. It has the distinction of continuing to be manned after two and a half centuries where other fortresses' groups have crumbled and died, either from external factors or outright lack of reinforcements from the capital. Though there are 5 dwarven leaders even in the 950s, there are hushed tales that it is held aloft by the "abstract" population of 210 humans, whispered to be more ghosts than men holding the fortress forevermore. Nevertheless, it has withstood 7 attacks from Stragdamsto.
Some attribute Sodelthabost's survival to the influx of refugees from the calamitous Siege of Datanthol. On the other hand, many of the survivors only stayed there briefly, being called to the capital to attain noble positions.
The area remains rich in unexploited native gold ore.
